Quaking Aspen Outfitters has been putting hunters on big game (Bighorn Sheep, Elk, and Mule Deer) since 1977. We hunt in roadless top-notch public areas and we have born and raised Colorado guides. We cater to all abilities and skill levels. We have even packed in wheelchairs. We offer a true Rocky Mountain experience in some of the most picturesque places in the high country. Operating in highly coveted game rich units, Quaking Aspen Outfitters is hard to compete with for a roadless public land hunt. Our camps are tons of fun and you will always make new friends here. ABOUT YOUR GUIDE
Owner and outfitter, Mike Chavez, has been guiding hunters in the Gunnison Valley for the last decade and has learned first hand from the previous owner, who guided here since 1977, exactly how the animals move and migrate through the area. He has the experience and the know-how to understand the Bighorn Sheep, Elk, and Mule Deer patterns well enough to find them almost every day. Mike is the guy you want as a guide, and he is a good person to have around the campfire as well. There is a reason he has been guiding in the outdoors for the last two decades.
