Hunting Trips

Join us for a hunt you will remember for a lifetime!

We are happy to boast one of the highest success rates of any public land outfitter in the state. Our hunting units are exceptional and have a lot of animals. Our experienced guides know the hunting areas very well and they know the animals that live there. If you want a real Colorado hunt, you've come to the right place.

Our camps come with spacious heated tents and a camp cook to serve meals. Packing camp in and out is done on horseback. It's a perfect blend of backwoods expedition and comfort.

BOOK TODAY before the spots fill up! You'll be glad you did.

We have openings in unit 55 for archery and rifle hunters in the 2018 season!

*If you have both a deer and elk tag, you can hunt both on the same trip at no additional cost

UNITS: S54, S26, S11, S10, S17, S20, S69, S22, S70

If you are lucky enough to draw a tag in one of the units listed above and you need a guide, I am your man. I've been guiding sheep hunters in these units for over 40 years. I know their areas and movements in these areas and can get you a good shot at a good ram (3/4 curl or better!). A few of my clients have taken record book rams.

This is a one-on-one hunt with a camp helper/cook to make things run smooth. We hunt out of a comfortable mobile camp with horses, which enables us to follow the sheep when they move if we need to. My success rate is over 95%, the only two hunters who have not gotten a sheep hunting with me both missed 7/8 full curl rams, both shots were under 100 yards. Please feel free to call me for more information.

Elk & Mule Deer Hunts

Archery season begins September 2nd and ends September 30th.

Muzzle-loader season begins September 8th and ends September 17th.

Congratulations if you have drawn an archery or muzzleloader tag for unit 66.  This is a limited draw unit and it has more than it's fair share of large trophy bull elk.

We offer guided hunts for these licenses in the La Garita Wilderness. We pack in about eight miles to a comfortable camp in some of the best hunting in Colorado. Success is almost one hundred percent for trophy 5 and 6 point and up bull elk. This hunt can not be beat.
